One Door Opens

Door

What is the old saying?

“As one door closes, another door opens.”

For the Weekly Photo Challenge, I submit two doors.

I walked out of this door for the last time in December when I retired. This door represented 30+ years of work in the public recreation field. Situated in a community center, this is the doorway to fun as people enter to register for recreation programs, take leisure enrichment classes, participate in events, or walk in to their offices. It’s a historical building dating back to the 1920s when it was a school house.

Last March, as we spent a day in Pacific Beach in San Diego, I spied this door to a beach house, one alleyway from the main boardwalk. I wonder what kind of lifestyle this person must lead. Is he or she a surfer? Based on the bright red door surrounded by an eclectic mix of decor, I would guess this person values fun and humor!

To me, this represents to the open doorway to leisure.

What do you think about the person who lives here? Are they happy?

  1. Terri, I love both of these doors!
The first one signifies all the hard work and dedication that you gave in your career …and the second door represents fun and leisure! I bet the person who lives there is a fun-loving and energetic person who has a joy for life! Like you!
